Undisciplined is a research and development lab focused on designing better ways to learn, think, and build. We design, test, and implement learning systems for STEM education and emerging technologies.

We designed this workshop in belief that culture and context are what make artificial intelligence truly intelligent.

With support from the Mozilla Creative Media Award, Undisciplined presents Calculate {Freedom} a hybrid short film and cultural data studies workshop exploring how Gullah Geechee history and culture can inform new approaches to machine learning and algorithmic design. We don’t just process data—we process meaning, rooted in culture and community.
